Andris Freibergs

Andris Freibergs was born in 1938.

Education
Graduated Applied Arts Secondary School (1957),
Latvian State Academy of Art (1965).

Work eksperience
Drama Theatre, scenic designer (1965-1973).
Youth Theatre, chief designer (1973-1992).
Latvia National Opera, chief designer since 1992.
Latvian Academy of Arts, lecturer since 1971, head of Scenic Design Department since 1994, professor, 1996.

Award
Prize for scenic design of Shekespeare's "Richard III", I Baltic Scenic Designer Triennial in Riga, 1973.
Prize for scenic design of Shekespeare's "King John", IV Baltic Scenic Design Triennial in Riga, 1985.
Awarded the 1st place for scenic design of B.Brecht "Fear and Misery of Third Reich" at the festival "Baltic Theatre Spring" " in Tallin, 1986.

Diploma for the Design of Art Academy Exhibition, International Scenic Design Exhibition "Prague Quadrennial' 87", 1987.
